Start-up brand, Bucketfeet, jettison from Chicago start-up to global stardom with artist inspired shoes.

At the heart of the Bucketfeet brand is collaboration with independent artists to inspire their shoe collection. Each shoe with a different design.

The innovative shoemaker has commissioned around 75 artists from Cartagena, Colombia to Kathmandu, Nepal to design the men and women’s casual footwear, which is available in more than 20 countries including Japan, South Korea and Australia.

From small beginnings, international customers now account for about 40-50% of Bucketfeet’s total sales.

How did it all come about? Well it was a chance meeting between two people travelling through Argentina, one an artist (Firestein) with a pair of hand drawn sneakers and the other, a backpacker (Nemani). The artist, gifted Nemani, with sneakers that he would go on to wear across 25 countries in six continents. Shoes, which instigated thousands of conversations and inspired his brand.

Sadly for us, Bucketfeet do not ship outside the USA from their website, but you can get them from Schuh outlets here and in the UK.
